Each Old Sodbury's Sortout event has its own distinctive character yet they all have features in common.
If you like tinkering with Vintage Agricultural Machinery or Land Rovers of any sort you will know that at the end of any restoration or modification there are ALWAYS bits left over. Old Sodbury’s Sortouts are where you can buy or sell these bits knowing you are dealing with fellow enthusiasts.
By offering locations around the country you should find at least one of the Sortout’s venues to suit you.
Yet by locating them next to an event with a National or International reputation it makes it possible visiting BOTH the Sortout and the Show. with one journey. Where the Sortout is alongside a major show it will attracts even more Trade Sellers than you used to find in a stand alone Old Sodbury’s Sortout. This gives Buyers a wider choice from brand new components to taken off items that need work before fitting.

Old Sodbury’s Vintage Agricultural Sortout in 2012
4th March Three Counties Showground Malvern Worcs,
Tractor World has built a reputation as the first National Tractor Show of the year and the place to display restorations completed over the winter. The tractors on display provide a demonstration of the standards that can be achieved after a painstaking restoration. As such they can be quite a contrast to the hard worked state many tractor were in during their working life! With the majority of the Show undercover apart from the Sortout and the Auction visitors know it is well worth coming whatever the weather forecast..
Old Sodbury's Sortout will help visitors to find those elusive bits needed to complete their restorations. Equally it allows Sellers to offer all those bits left over and cluttering up the workshop.
The big advantage of heaving an Old Sodbury’s Sortout as part of major show like this is that if Buyers cannot find what they are looking for in the Sortout then there will be plenty of trade stalls to try at the show as well. If there is any doubt whether a part is right for a particular tractor there is likely to be a suitable exhibit on site for comparison.
For Sellers the visitors to the Tractor World mean they can be assured of plenty of visitors will be looking round the stalls. What is more they know enough about tractor restoration to appreciate the true worth of items on offer even if theyhappen to be rusty, damaged, or unserviceable.

July 29 brings a Vintage Sortout alongside the Show at Tortworth. This a typical smaller and manageable steam rally. With a bit of everything most of the exhibits are interesting without being lost in vast numbers of similar exhibits.
For each Sortout you have three option
Option 1 Making a one day trip to the Sortout and fitting in the other show in the same day. It makes for an interesting but busy day but you get the maximum entertainment for your fuel cost.
Option 2 If you can spare the time for an overnight visit you can take in the show in more detail and make a break of it. Trade sellers may prefer booking a stall at the show to get two days full trading out of the trip,
Option 3 If you can take a longer break Why not spend a few days in the area? Depending on your interests you are bound to find some interesting places to visit nearby. this year we have planned most Sortouts to run alongside another interesting event.
We have also got involved in rescuing some interesting films and transferring their contents on to DVDs Dustbin Films
If you are looking for a project to get started on check out the possibilities listed at Available Projects
If however you have got some vintage items to sell we may be able to give you an appraisal of what you have and how best to sell it... and sometimes our advice is NOT to wait for a Sortout. Appraisals
