Sundays rummaging through “junk”
May 2nd Vintage Old Sodbury’s SortoutStratford on Avon new venue. Alongside the new Stratford Armouries Museum .Despite overnight heavy rain visitors cam from London North Wales Yorkshire and Wiltshire. . Those sellers who came most sold a fair proportion of their load.
May 16th. Old Sodbury’s Land Rover Sortout at Beaulieu Hants. Alongside the Famous Spring Autojumble and Motor Museum. Many visitors enjoy the World famous Motor Museum which is included in the admission fess A sucessful event with excellent weather.
July 25th Vintage Sortout Tortworth South Glos Alongside the Tortworth Show. This new location in South Gloucestershire is close to Junction 14 of the M5 attracted some interesting loads much of which sold. . .
August 22nd Great Northern (combined Land Rover AND Vintage) Harrogate . Later date to avoid local traffic problems. NB No show nearby at this Sortout .
September 12th Land Rover Peterborough Cambs Alongside the LRO Show. When you put a Land Rover Sortout right alongside what must be one of the biggest Land Rover Shows in the World Buyers get plenty of Choice and Sellers get plenty of Buyers. .
October 3rd Easter Compton Bristol alongside Joe’s Gathering. Last year the whole Gathering was put on at very short notice . Thanks to Joe and the team’s good contacts everybody who came found a very interesting and enjoyable event. One unusual feature was visits to the well equipped workshop where some fascinating restoration work was under way. Steam locomotives, a draggling and a very early lorry chassis were just some of the projects being worked on. .
November 14th Agricultural Vintage Newark Notts Alongside the Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show. The time of year means that this show attracts some of the best exhibits from earlier shows plus many not seen elsewhere. .The Sortout was moved into the Main Ring last year and it was amazing how long buyers spent rummaging for their choice of bits. A number of local farmers took advantage to load up a farm trailer with unwanted spares. The demand they experienced means they plan to load up again this year .

For each Sortout you have three option
Option 1 Making a one day trip to the Sortout and fitting in the other show in the same day. It makes for an interesting but busy day but you get the maximum entertainment for your fuel cost.
Option 2 If you can spare the time for an overnight visit you can take in the show in more detail and make a break of it. Trade sellers may prefer booking a stall at the show to get two days full trading out of the trip,
Option 3 If you can take a longer break Why not spend a few days in the area? Depending on your interests you are bound to find some interesting places to visit nearby. this year we have planned most Sortouts to run alongside another interesting event.
We have also got involved in rescuing some interesting films and transferring their contents on to DVDs Dustbin Films
